Cheraton True Blue

True Blue exceeded expectations for Cheraton Stud and has produced outstanding stock from a select band of mares. The first cross to Rialto fillies produced Cheraton Tarantella, Cheraton Chandon and Cheraton Cool Waters. Chandon and Cool Waters went on to achieve state champion titles, amongst many other awards. True Blue went on to produce an impressive number of Royal, State and National Show Hunter Champions across the country.

True Blue’s bloodlines need no introduction to the show world. Importantly, his strong dam line includes the elegant galloway mare Falconhurst Animation, who was a top quality mare with extreme movement and style. She is the dam of the royal and state winning mare Cheraton Work of Art and herself has been a successful mare in hand and under saddle at royal level.

In November 2019, his son Cheraton Caesar completed at the 2019 International Welsh Show in Sydney. Not only was Caesar selected by the 6 international judges to claim the International Supreme Champion Led Part Welsh, he went on to claim the title of International Supreme Champion Riddent Part Welsh.

True Blue’s State and Royal winning progeny are too many to list though include:

  • Cheraton Chandon (in hand and saddle Royal Champion, SHCQ HOTY Champion, among many other major titles)
  • Cheraton Cool Waters (State Champion, National Part Welsh Champion, multi Supreme Champion and has carried riders to win royal and state championship titles).
  • Cheraton Art Deco (Grand National Runner Up Child’s SH Galloway, Owner Rider award winner at the SHC Grand Nationals)
  • Cheraton Burlesque (Medium Champion dressage pony and SHCNSW Champion SH Galloway)
  • Cheraton Caesar (National Champion Part Welsh Show Hunter of the Year 2019, Runner Up SHCV SH Galloway)

True Blue resided at Cheraton Stud for 18 years and now lives with Helen Plumridge.

We are fortunate to have retained a number of his daughters, as well as his super son Cheraton Blue Label.
